The Social Innovation Partnership - www.tsip.co.uk
TSIP is an advisory business that aims to combine academic research and rigour with strategy and delivery support to solve some of the most intractable problems in society.
The TSIP website is now up and running - please go to our new site at www.tsip.co.uk or you can find a brief introduction here:
We have three fundamental contributions to make:
- To tackle social issues in communities and wider society and help citizens get back on, or stay on their feet in life.
- To use innovation in finding action-oriented solutions to the issues of crime, disorder and inequality that challenge our society.
- To work with the public, private and third sectors, bringing partnerships and networks together, to achieve the most valuable solutions.
We are free from dogma and harness best practice from international consulting, academic subject expertise and leading service organisations.
We have supported and collaborated with a wide range of organisations.
Our focus is predominantly in London and other conurbations.
What we offer:
- Policy and research: We seek out the best policy for problematic situations. In so doing we partner with the most credible institutions including practitioners.
- Strategy: We deploy strategy for situations, because issues and problems are contextual. If we were to define our approach in any way it would be as executable strategy. We are currently exploring how we can help charities build capacity and generate income.
- Evaluation: We undertake analysis and evaluation ensuring it is useable, including: evaluations to analyse effectiveness of intervention, benchmarking against sector standards, and assessment of organisational governance.
- Project delivery: We understand the methodology and specialisms to deliver sensitive change projects on behalf of clients. We have experience of setting up organisations, delivering interventions, and running programmes.
- Risk and reward: We believe in the challenge of tackling demanding problems and are prepared to share risk on delivering results such as with Social Impact Bonds.
TSIP is led by Jerry Rabot and Stephen Bediako. Our recent client experience includes:
- Metropolitan Police youth engagement programme: Our team was involved in evaluating and guiding all of the MPS’s youth engagement projects, delivering detailed assessments and practical recommendations on improving this £20m youth programme.
- Capital Conflict Management: Our team supported this pioneering gang mediation service to evaluate its operations, develop its corporate strength and expand its services across London so that mediation can lead the way to resolve disputes where serious violence may arise.
- Birmingham anti-social behaviour strategy: Our team was involved in developing a 10-year ASB Strategy for the Safer Birmingham Partnership (police, local authority, health services and linked agencies).
Greater London Authority: Time For Action: We are working with the GLA on the development of Project Oracle to support organisations tackling serious youth violence.
- YES project, Brent: We are supporting YES, an award-winning project which is working with young disaffected youth in Brent to help them further their own ambitions without state support.
The full TSIP website is now launched - please go to www.tsip.co.uk for a much fuller description of our services.
TSIP ran a seminar in March 2011 on facing the challenges of ASB - please click here for more information.
