In the Financial Services sector, WCL are known for their innovation in two key areas:
• Customer acquisition and retention; and • Programme and Project Management.
Customer
WCL are currently working with multi-national banks to improve the customer experience for retail banking customers, improving the areas which have a direct impact on getting new customers and holding onto existing ones. This includes benchmarking current levels of service, creating a “client centred” culture, developing integrated channels and putting in place the appropriate governance arrangements.

Programme and Project Management
All Financial Services companies have developed Programme and Project Management methodologies, but often these are ignored because they are too bureaucratic and slow in responding to the rapidly changing business environment. There are many examples of Business Units employing new methodologies such as AGILE in rapidly order to develop and implement improvements, however these are perceived by “the Centre” as increasing risk as there is reduced governance and risk management. WCL have developed a new framework which combines Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and AGILE to support the rapid development and delivery of key change programmes, and are rolling this out in a number of international clients.
