Engagement Matters
One of the most common areas of risk across Government is ineffective joint working. In the current environment of increased focus on effective delivery and with Government PSA targets encouraging departments to focus on outcomes and cross-government working, effective Stakeholder Management has become more important than ever. However, not all Government staff are equipped to ensure maximum impact from their stakeholder engagements. Stakeholder engagement is a key part of everyday work, and forms a major component of cost and time, yet many activities do not deliver the required result, nor VfM. A more advanced set of skills and stakeholder engagement techniques are required.
WCL Stakeholder Management Masterclasses
We are running two dynamic full day sessions which provide staff and stakeholder practitioners with the confidence, tools and techniques to make their stakeholder activities effective. The sessions are practical working sessions using attendees real work issues as the content so that each person leaves with completed plans, specific issues resolved and leading tools and techniques for stakeholder engagement.
High Performance Masterclass 1: Stakeholder Analysis Planning and Engagement (Feb 4th, 2009)
This module is for people who are responsible for key stakeholder relationships. At the end of the masterclass, participants will come away with a plan of action for improving their own stakeholder planning and engagement.
High Performance Masterclass 2: Practical Stakeholder Management Strategy (Feb 5th, 2009)
This module is for people who are responsible for managing or coordinating stakeholder functions and activities on behalf of their organisation, be it a department, division, programme or project. At the of the end of this module, participants will come away with a practical and effective plan of action to develop an effective stakeholder management strategy that considers both the needs of the stakeholders as well as those of the organisation or programme.
