Peter Lavers - Customer Futures Leader
Peter Lavers, 44 is Managing Director of Customer Futures (a wholly owned subsidiary of OgilvyOne Worldwide since 2002), and retains these responsibilities as the two are wholly complementary.
WCL’s Customer Management Practice helps companies improve the value they deliver to customers while making more profit (or at lower cost in NFP organisations), by enabling them to improve their critical business competence of managing customers, an area in which great opportunities still exist in today’s multi-channel environment and in tough markets where ‘good’ customers are hard to find and keep.
Customer Futures (www.customerfutures.com) is an international members-based network of learning groups focused on the design and delivery of a competitive and profitable Customer Experience. Members will be able to participate in and benefit from WCL’s research initiatives in customer management.
Peter’s early career was with Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars Ltd, where he trained as an engineer and went on to hold senior roles in commercial & logistics, market intelligence & customer satisfaction, marketing, and CRM.
As a client he engaged a specialist Customer Management consultancy called QCi (now a WPP company). He liked them so much he joined them in 2000 after 17 years with Rolls-Royce and Bentley, and was appointed Managing Partner in 2006. In 2007, Peter was asked to manage QCi’s sister company, Customer Futures, following the early retirement of its founder. He was appointed as its MD in July, and concluded the transition from QCi at the end of that year.
Peter has insights into numerous business and public sectors, derived from the many engagements with blue-chip organisations around the World – all with a clear focus on practical improvements in the way customers are managed for business benefit.
Professor Merlin Stone, WCL’s Research Director and responsible for the customer management practice, says “It’s great to have Peter with us. He and I have worked on many customer management projects together, and are looking forward to recreating the success we had.” Kieron White, Managing Director of WCL, welcomes Peter. “Peter has worked with us before as an Associate, and we know how good he is. We’re really pleased that he’s joining us full-time. We are looking forward to developing stronger relationships with Customer Futures Members, as well as with the many other companies that Peter has worked with.”
